Agriculture Equipment Operator

Drive, operate, and control farm equipment to support a farming operation, including: planters, mowers, plows, sprayers, cultivators, power shears, chainsaws, high lifts, skid loaders, forklifts, and conveyor belts. Mix and spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions with spraying equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or workers. Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines. Operate snow removal equipment (hand-tools such as shovels and snow blowers, or tractors with loader bucket attachment to move snow to centralized dumping area) in the winter. Maintain power units that drain fields of excess water during the winter. Operate equipment safely, with or without direction. Assist with regular maintenance on equipment. Clean/sanitize workstation and equipment. Saturday and extended work hours required during busy periods. Repetitive walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling. Lift and carry 50 pounds. Work outside in extremely hot, cold and/or wet weather conditions. Employer-paid drug testing required post-hire at random, upon suspicion of use, and post-accident. Must have three months of agricultural experience. Must have or be able to obtain U.S. driver's license prior to beginning work.
