Farm Worker

This job order is for a temporary/seasonal position in: (Ringling, OK) Title: Farm Worker Dates of Contract:4-1-25 to 1-15-26 Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and 5hrs on Saturday Duties: Workers will participate in all aspects of watermelon production on farms. Workers will be involved in the planting of watermelon seeds in the spring, and cultivation and weed control throughout the growing season. Workers will be responsible for field-harvesting of watermelons, which includes cutting, picking, groundwork and loading, as well as packing melons. Workers will clean the pecan bottoms to prepare for the pecan harvest. Workers will assist with harvesting pecans. Ability to lift at least 75 pounds, able to withstand working in the heat, ability to work and get along with others, must also practice good hygiene and cleanliness in the packing facility. Cleaning the facility will also be required. Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. Post-employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable, exposure to extreme temps, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.
