VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENTTRANSIT OPERATOR (NON-CDL)Starting Pay: $16.56/hourJoin our team as a Full-time Operator and help transport passengers safely across Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties.Key Responsibilities:Drive a transit bus on assigned routes throughout the City and Counties of Stafford, and Spotsylvania.Ensure the safe transport of all passengers.Monitor and manage passenger behavior on the bus.Assist passengers as needed.Perform daily vehicle inspections, fueling, and cleaning to ensure safe operating plete related tasks as directed.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Bus driver training and at least one year of experience driving a commercial or passenger vehicle.Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain it during employment.Pass a criminal record check and physical abilities testing.Pass CPR, First Aid, Passenger Assistance, and Safety tests.No felony or substance abuse convictions within the last 10 years.No DWI convictions.Flexible to work varying hours, including weekends and evenings.Additional Information:Rigorous background checks, including criminal history, driving records, and previous employment verification, will be conducted.Employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug testing, with ongoing random drug testing per DOT requirements.We will offer training to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL); however, we will require a one-year commitment to the City of Fredericksburg.Position will remain open until e be part of a knowledgeable and amazing work team committed to excellence in serving a thriving and growing community and the commitment to
