CNC Programmer/Machinist - $25/hr

Job Title: CNC Programmer/Machinist Location: Palm City, FL Industry: Plastics Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Mon - Thurs (6am-4pm) #TCFL Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced CNC Programmer to join our fast-paced machine shop located in Palm City, FL. This hands-on position involves the operation, maintenance, and repair of both CNC and manual machinery. The ideal candidate will be skilled in interpreting technical drawings, operating a variety of machines, and supporting general manufacturing processes with precision and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Machining & Machine Operation Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (primarily HAAS TM-3P) Operate manual machines including: Lathes Milling machines Surface grinders (ID and OD) Perform routine maintenance on machinery and ensure proper function Maintain CNC tooling—keeping it organized, clean, and fully operational Program CNC machines using conversational input or by loading CAM programs Verify tool settings, speeds, and feeds before running programs Create CAM programs from 3D models using SolidWorks and HSMWorks Technical Support & Assembly Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Assemble and repair machine parts and internal shop machinery Research materials, tools, or processes as needed for projects Support operation of auxiliary machinery, including: Injection molding machines Forklifts Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in general machining, with demonstrated CNC experience Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and procedures Proficient with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, ID/OD gauges Familiarity with hardness testers and other specialized equipment is a plus Experience programming CNC machines and interpreting CAM programs Skills & Competencies: Organized with strong attention to detail Able to follow both verbal and written instructions Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Able to work both independently and as part of a team Strong sense of accountability and professionalism Adheres to safety standards and shop protocols at all times Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Familiarity with SolidWorks and MasterCam or HSMWorks preferred
