We are a family-friendly company that values the differences that make each associate unique.Job Description**High Level Statement of the Role:**The Product Assembler Worker is responsible for assembling products to specifications.**Roles and Responsibilities:**- Assemble product per Shop Order Release (SOR), Operational Method Sheet (OMS) or schedules using appropriate gauges, screws, glues, staples, hardware and tools.- Inspect for obvious damage, color consistency and alignment or any other material specifications and inspect parts for compliance to any other quality or workmanship standards.- Document necessary information.- Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized.- Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used.- Follow all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).- Identify nonconformities and follow nonconforming product procedures and be aware of disposition authority.- Implement process improvements.- Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.- Follow and support the Quality system.- Performs job rotation as directed.- Support our Environmental Management System (EMS).Job Requirements- Interpersonal Skills- Ability to learn and adapt to new situations quickly.- Able to interact with diverse groups of people.- Must have a positive attitude.- Highly motivated and able to work independently or as a team.- Flexible with work schedules.- preferred one year manufacturing/assembly experienceTechnical Skills- Able to effectively use problem solving skills.- Meet the physical demands of the job, especially lifting.- Understand the effects of the material used on finished surfaces.- Maintain inventory munication Skills- Good verbal/written communication skills.- Work in a team environment.- Able to verify paperwork and tickets.EEO StatementThe Company is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of r ace, color, r eligion, s ex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.VISA SponsorshipKimball International, Inc. will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment/work visa status (e.g..
