Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at our Proprium Pharmacy $5,000 Sign on Bonus for Qualified CandidatesLocation: Chesapeake, VA 23320Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)Shift: Rotating Days shiftHours: 8am-5pm / 8:30am-5:30pmOccasional SaturdaysThe Specialty Pharmacy Tech performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitionerEnsures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient careTriages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as neededUses appropriate systems for processing patient informationEnsures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirementsOperates pharmacy equipment appropriatelyIn addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practiceEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)Certification/LicensureVirginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)Experience1 Years Pharmacy Experience (Preferred) Pharmacy Tech, PTCB, NHA, Medication, Pharmacy, Specialty, Pharmacy, Pharmacy TechnicianWe provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$18.62 - $25.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
