The Account Assistant - Seasonal position is responsible for daily reconciliation of payments as installations are complete. This position works closely with The Container Store Installation Services (TCSIS) Customer Service Team, our Customer Solutions Department (CSD), our Stores and TCS Installers. This is a full-time, hourly, seasonal position with potential for conversion. Must be based in Elmhurst, IL or the surrounding area and willing to work onsite. This is not a remote position.Principal Duties and Responsibilities Reconciles daily credit card reports and checks for installation paymentsAssists in collections, invoice adjustments and refunds for TCSISCommunications with customers, installers and store to resolve accounting issuesResponsible for timely responses to shared email communicationFollows up on communication with Contained Home Organizers on accounting proceduresPartners with management on TCS Closets paymentsPartners with business-to-business sales for invoicing and collectingProvides reporting to TCSIS Managers, the Accounting Department and Contained Home CoordinatorsConsistently arrives promptly to work the assigned scheduleResponsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer informationPerforms all other assigned dutiesExperience and Skills RequiredCollege degree preferredExperience in customer service or operations field, preferred; retail experience a plusStrong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and knowledge of ExcelGood analytical and problem solving skillsIs committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needsKnowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organizationAbility to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or weekFlexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledgeStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at oncePossess focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure Professional manner and strong communication skills internally and with outside vendor partnersMakes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process informationAbility to work within and exemplify The Container Store brand which we describe as matchless, fun, authentic, team, sustainable, life-changing, unique, trust and partnershipThis is a seasonal position, with potential to convert to a full time exempt position, although not guaranteed.Company will not pay costs associated with immigration sponsorship.The Container Store promotes a smoke-free, drug-free environment.
