Boiler Operator

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Boiler Operators for projects located in the Greensboro, NC area. This is a full time opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $29/hour based on experience plus $135/day worked per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Boiler Operator eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope: Periodically check boilersEnsures steam quantity and quality are sufficient for air compressor operation and pneumatic controlsVerifies adequate air supply for combustion to prevent unburned combustibles in boilersCleans and descales boilers as directed by the plant supervisorCompletes one chemical analysis test per shift for condensate water, boiler water, water softenerDistributes chemicals into feed units based on analysis test resultsTakes hourly readings and logs findings for Equipment gauges, motors, pumps, chemical tanks, fuel oil tanks, D.A. tanks, etc.Inspects equipment, valves, and controls before turning over operations to the next shift leadRegularly checks gauges, meters, and control panels to ensure boiler operates within safe limitsLubricates equipment and replaces worn/damaged parts as neededTests boiler water for pH, dissolved solids, and other parameters to maintain proper water chemistry and prevent scaling/corrosionMaintains accurate records of boiler operations (temperatures, pressures, maintenance tasks)Sends hourly logs via email to VBMI customer.Acts quickly to adjust controls, shut down equipment, or call for assistance as neededFollows all safety protocols, wears appropriate PPE, and conducts safety inspectionsReports issues, coordinates maintenance, and shares critical boiler operation updates with supervisors and team membersHigh school diploma or equivalency and one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experienceTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
