NV5 is an ENR Top 500 firm; we offer a full range of professional services in offices throughout the U.S.The Architect / Building Administrator is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and management of building projects, as well as coordinating the administrative, operational, and compliance aspects of plans review, inspections, and construction.Main ResponsibilitiesArchitectural & Design DutiesDevelop and review architectural plans, drawings, and specificationsEnsure designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulationsCoordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecyclePrepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and design presentationsConduct site inspections to verify adherence to design and quality standardsImplement sustainable and energy-efficient design principles where applicableBuilding Administration & OperationsOversee building operations, maintenance, and facility management functionsManage space planning, renovations, and modifications within facilitiesEnsure compliance with life safety codes, ADA requirements, fire safety, and environmental standardsMaintain building records, drawings, permits, and regulatory documentationSupervise building support staff, contractors, and vendorsMonitor budgets, contracts, and procurement related to facility operationsBusiness Development & Client RelationsIdentify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in Private Provider Plans Review and Building InspectionsDevelop and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat and referral businessParticipate in marketing, networking events, and industry associations to increase visibilityPrepare and deliver project proposals, presentations, and qualifications packagesCollaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives, revenue goals, and market positioningConduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunitiesProject & Administrative ManagementServe as liaison between ownership, contractors, tenants, and regulatory agenciesPrepare progress reports, project documentation, and administrative correspondenceMonitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverablesResolve design, construction, and administrative issues in a timely mannerEducation, experience, licensure, and skillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, or related field.Licensed Architect (preferred) or ability to obtain licensure and/or Building Code Administrator, Inspector, or Plans Examiner (multiple fields)5+ years of experience in architecture, construction administration, or facility management.Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and permitting processes.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/management software.Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.NV5 provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
