Initiative, active listening skills and adaptability are key success factors for the HR Generalist at ERMCO.Coach managers and employees on employee relations issuesLead and assist as necessary in investigation of and proper disposition of associate concernsAddress employee issues through appropriate interpretation and administration of company policies.Conduct new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.Manage employment- related inquiries from applicants, employees, and leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.Coordinate post-employment processes including job offers, background checks, drug screens, physicals, candidate notification, and start dateAssist in policy/procedure communication, guidance, and related education activities to ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures are understood and consistently applied.Maintain employee information in HRIS including insurance coverage, pension plan, salary increase, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminationsPrepare employee separation notices and related documentationEnsure all documentation is maintained in the HRIS systemReview timesheets to ensure accuracy and consistencyAdminister job bid process while ensuring consistency with internal candidatesSupport special projects within the companyMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices, review policies and practices to maintain compliance.Support efforts to ensure compensation and payroll activities are facilitated effectivelyMaintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Fully utilize HRIS systems and drive implementation of self-service programs and initiatives enabling employees to become more self-sufficientOther duties may be assignedBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferredMinimum 3 years of relevant HR experienceEmployee relations experience is preferredSHRM-CP/PHR a plusMS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams)Ability to display a cooperative attitude, collaborate with work teams, and display a willingness to take on responsibilities and challengesResourceful mindset and strong attention to detail and adaptable to change.Anticipates and follows through on individual employee needs as well as maintains confidentialityExcellent judgement and problem-solving and skills with a strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR.Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career.
