OverviewThe Field Clerk is responsible for providing direct support to the Project Manager or Superintendent and overseeing the day to day support activities affecting the success of the project. Mechanical, industrial or construction experience is preferred. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work. May be required to work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting.Responsibilities *The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.Enter personnel information into computer systemMaintain documentation in employee files Collect and distribute paperwork going to and from employees in the field Run reports for active and inactive employees Assist in tracking costs associates with Field Change NoticesCreate purchase ordersOrder materials and equipmentAssist other workers as neededQualificationsPhysicalMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs.Hearing and comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions Will need to perform sedentary to heavy workWill operate office equipment of all typesClimb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basisPosition may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, reaching overhead, squatting, sitting or standing and liftingMust be able to manipulate and traverse uneven terrain, ladders, and multi-floor buildings with no elevatorMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focusAbility to drive cars/trucks as neededMentalMust have the ability to communicate effectively with management/ supervision and field workersTalking and reading & writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policyAbility to use math/complete calculationsWork at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractionsDecision making skills necessaryDetail-oriented; must be able to remember, examine, and observe details
