Compressor Lead

The Compressor Lead is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and compliance of compressors in the field. This role focuses heavily on vendor coordination, performance tracking, and preventative maintenance scheduling — with leadership responsibility to drive reliability and cost efficiency.Lead meetings with compressor vendors to review downtime and reliability.Prepare/distribute performance reports; consolidate vendor input for internal action.Maintain accurate tracking of all compressors, including type, location, and maintenance history.Coordinate with vendors on scheduling per OEM standards; confirm completion and address findings.Monitor utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs; provide monthly/ad hoc reports to leadership.Ensure activities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Minimum of 5 years of experience in compressor operations, maintenance coordination, or oil and gas field operationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in mechanical, petroleum, or industrial systems preferredAbility to translate technical performance data into actionable steps for vendors and internal teamsSkilled in vendor relationship management and contract negotiationsProficient in downtime reporting tools, maintenance tracking systems, and cost analysis spreadsheetsStrong problem-solving ability with a focus on uptime improvementClear and concise communication skills to align internal and external stakeholdersLeadership capability to manage multiple concurrent field priorities without sacrificing safety or detail
