Aerospace Quality Source Inspector - Electromechanical Position Title: Aerospace Electromechanical Quality Source InspectorLocation: Dublin GA, and surrounding areasJob Type: Standing weekly source at supplier every Friday - other supplier locations available for standard source inspection based on supplier requestsEmployment Type: VTR W2 Field Employee (or) VSC 1099 with LLC, if preferred.As the Electromechanical Quality Source Inspector you will act on behalf of Verify's customer and will be responsibleto ensure compliance of product during in process and final inspections. As the dedicated inspector you will be orientated on customer processes and requirements to ensure all standards/specifications are followed while supporting reporting and communication to all stakeholders on issues/non-conformances...etc.Job Description:The quality inspector shall support on-siteat single or multiple supplier facilities to perform documentation, visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.Validate all product and paperwork compliant to including but not limited to: engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure these items conform to customers purchase order requirements and specificationsPerform a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniquesReport via operating systems for Customer and Verify while communicating any non-conformance while providing reject or rework disposition. Must be willing to utilizepersonal laptop to complete customer inspection records within SAP platform and Verify' s reporting platform.Requirements:Strong background in the manufacturing of mechanical partsDetermines by visual examination and measurements with precision instruments, gauges, etc., the adherence to blueprint specifications and the proper standards of workmanship, material, finish, etc. on machined partsChecks measurements to close tolerances. Parts inspected may be made from any of the different grades of steel, aluminum, or aluminum alloy, brass, bronze, etc., and may be bolts, die castings, sand casting, forgings, extrusions, purchases parts,Strong backgroundin inspection of printed circuits and circuit card assemblies.Minimum 10 years of solder and conformal coating inspection experience.Strong understanding of solder and conformal coating IAW IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 requirements.Active Certification for JSTD-001, preferred or previously held certification(s). Must be willing to re-certifyand maintain active certifications as required. Active Certification for IPC-610, preferred or previously held certification(s) must be willing to re-certifyand maintain active certifications as requireDetail-oriented and proficient at interpreting technical documents and work instructions.Proficient with personal computersExperience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required, including complete review of technical data package for full traceability of documents.Experience using various inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.A strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to apply it according to standards Experience with methods such as visual inspection, dimensional inspection, surface finish checks, and non-destructive testing (NDT).Knowledge of NADCAP and Special ProcessesRequirements:Posses soft skills to clearly communicate non-conformancesinternally and externallyCandidate should be computer savvy andMUSTbe willing to use personal laptop to complete inspection reporting via SPP (Supplier Performance Platform)Must be willing to utilizepersonal cell phoneMust be willing to work in fast paced manufacturing environment and possess all PPE required per suppliers safety requirements.Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, maneuverMust be able to lift at least 30 lbs.Requirements Pre-Employment:Visual Acuity:Must be able to pass visual acuity tests, including color distinction.Background Checks & Drug TestingU.S. Person Status1099 Contractor with established LLC/DBA.
