CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a**Business Practice Leader - Highway**to join our**Infrastructure - Highway and Rail Team**at any of the following office locations:**Albany or Buffalo, NY; Miami or Tampa, FL; Atlanta or Duluth, GA; Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Hartford, CT; Providence, RI; Parsippany, NJ; Columbia or Newberry, SC**. Our highway professionals have planned, developed and provided solutions to municipalities, metropolitan planning organizations, public and private authorities, and state transportation agencies. Addressing the immediate travel needs and expectations of todays society and anticipating the mobility and modal challenges and opportunities of the future requires comprehensive planning, engineering and a commitment to innovation and sustainable design. CHAs transportation team embraces new challenges from roads and highways to roundabouts and rail lines. The Business Practice Leader will be responsible for providing overall profit and loss management, strategic direction, inspiration for their workforce and elation of clients through excellence in project delivery, ensuring profitable growth of the business. This includes developing a specific growth strategy and collaborating with leadership to execute the strategy and grow their practice, as well as maintaining overall responsibility for staffing, project management, technical excellence, quality assurance, and operational activities within the assigned area. Additionally, the Business Practice Leader will collaborate with other practices throughout the organization to ensure the efficient execution of projects, staff utilization, and talent management. The professional in this role will be expected to lead an inspired organization, requiring high-energy and dedicated leadership skills to attract and retain talent as well as manage the pulse, morale, and engagement of employees. Working collaboratively with leadership, the Business Practice Leader will develop aggressive operational and financial targets, well-thought-out growth strategies and action plans, and annual budgets for the Bridge team with the ultimate objective of being a recognized industry leader. This key role will support business development and proposal efforts to ensure the team meets its new business generation target and will work closely with Marketing to best position their services and technical expertise in the marketplace. REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's Degree preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license required Minimum 15 years progressive engineering experience required Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability o practically apply best practices, including an excellent knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas Proficiency with MS Office software required Understands QA/QC procedures and basic business practices as well as laws related to engineering Completely familiar with and advocates for the companys standards for quality control and compliance An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred Strategic thinker to properly position the group for strong growth and financial performance Strong understanding and knowledge of his/her Business Practice as well as the adaptability for future services to be offered Demonstrated financial management skills and understanding of the PandL An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups A high energy, results-oriented, resourceful leader who can establish themselves as a credible strategic member of management within the company Technically astut
