As a Cloud Engineering Team Lead, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice as a technical project manager or team lead delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 5-7 years experience with responsibility for leading cross functional and technical teams to drive projects from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment.Responsibilities include:Serves as the technical delivery leader, accountable for completion of team delivery efforts including quality oversight and client acceptanceFosters and promotes innovative thinking across the client environmentBuilds and maintains client relationships, developing a strategic vision for clients and internal teamsHandles challenging client situations and offers technical and business guidance & direction to client executivesManages staff and monitors performance and training needs to create skills expansion and career advancement opportunityIdentify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the customerDesign, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systemsUnderstanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developersAutomate and improve configuration, provisioning, deployment,?and release processesTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing resultsEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and ‘fixes’Working with software developers and DevSecOps engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedSupport?enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through?infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testingEnsure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with organizational security policies and best practices?Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations?Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issuesLeads and manages team membersAssists in sales and technical strategy activities beyond their current programEngineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services providedPresent regular status updates and provide cross training to other team membersRequired:Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security ClearanceBS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experienceAt least 7 years of total experienceProven experience of leading the deployment of enterprise and custom Software solutions in client environmentsDemonstrated ability to influence and consult while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving governance, program/project management, business process and/or technical problemsProven experience growing and selling while delivering5 Years of Experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions5 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)5 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket5 Years of Experience with systems development in an Agile environment5 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration5 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestration3 Years of Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analyticsAt least one of the below or similarcertifications:AWS Certified DevOps EngineerAWS Certified Solution Architect ProfessionalMicrosoft Certified DevOps Engineer ExpertPreferred:MS DegreeCertifications:SAFe Scrum Master CertificationCertified Scrum MasterExcellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and collaborative skillsExperience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferredExperience with scripting in Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or RubyExperience implementing docker containers andutilizingplatforms such as KubernetesExperience with automation tools, including Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or AnsibleSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
