Job Description

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build/release management, CI/CD practices, and process automation.Responsibilities include:Establishing development tools and infrastructure for automationUnderstanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developersAutomate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processesTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing resultsEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and ‘fixes’Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedSupport enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CDDocument as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendationsLeverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systemsAct as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team membersWork with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools.Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services providedPresent regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members.Required:Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security ClearanceBS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experienceAt least 5 years of total experience3 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)3 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket3 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages3 Years of application DevSecOps Experience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environment3 Years of Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes3 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration3 Years of Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI3 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestrationExperience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD PipelinesProven, hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and report automationDemonstrated experience in the creation, deployment, and management of APIs to support data integration and system interoperabilityAt least one of the below or similar certifications:AWSCertified DevOps EngineerMicrosoft Certified Azure Developer AssociateSAFeDevOps CertificationPreferred:Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks including SeleniumExcellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skillsExperience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferredExperience with scripting in Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or RubyExperience with automation tools, including Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or AnsibleSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $165,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
