From grassroots promotions to digital advertising, you’ll assist in creating buzz and driving ticket sales for some of the most exciting events in Western Massachussets. TheMarketing Internwill learn how to handle challenging situations which will require strong communication skills and problem-solving. The position is designed to provide opportunities that create learning and development experiences to enhance the intern’s future career prospects.This role will last from approximately September 8, 2025 and will end on May 15, 2026.This role pays an hourly rate of $38.00 to $39.00This position will remain open until November 28, 2025.Help the Marketing Department with events and promotions for The Mullins Center, while learning about arena operations and functionsSocial media responsibilities. Working with BO manager on planning a media calendar for the building while learning best practices in social media engagementHelp proofread ad copy, radio spot copy, press releases, weekly e-blasts, etcConducting demographic and psychographic research for various events and projectsAttend meetings with potential partners and learning how to execute marketing with third-party partnershipsAssisting with grassroots marketing, including creation and distribution of flyers, hanging posters, tabling and creating relationships with various retailers to promote eventsParticipate in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotionsLearn E-mail management, website management and venue reporting at the Mullins CenterPerform variety of event day responsibilities within the Marketing Department, such as assisting with in game promotions, gathering consumer feedback, and helping with overall customer serviceHelp with planning and organizing of various sales and service initiatives and programsEffective written and verbal communication skills.Highly motivated individual with ability to work in a team environment.Must be a graduate studentRecommended for Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, Management, or Hospitality MajorsAvailability to work 10 hours a week, including evenings and weekendsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PublisherWorking knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Reader a plusMust have working knowledge of social media platforms, including Tik TokWell organized with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environmentAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
