The Position: The National Account Sales Representative is responsible for managing and expanding truck body sales within major national accounts, including leasing companies, large fleets, and upfit partners. The role is accountable for achieving growth targets, strengthening strategic partnerships, and aligning internal resources to meet customer requirements. This position serves as a key point of contact for customers with complex, multi-location operations and supports long-term relationship development and account profitability.WHAT YOU’LL DOTerritory: United States and Canada (as applicable)Account Types: National fleets, fleet management/leasing companies, rental and leasing providersRevenue Accountability: Assigned annual quota aligned with national account portfolioInternal Interfaces: Sales Ops, Engineering, Production Scheduling, FinanceAccount Management & GrowthOwns the customer relationship at a national level for assigned accountsDevelops account strategies to expand market share and increase wallet shareLeads pricing and proposal development for national contracts or bid opportunitiesSales ExecutionExecutes on revenue targets through direct selling and coordinated pursuit with field sales or dealer networksFacilitates the specification and ordering process in coordination with production planningTracks quote-to-order cycle and proactively manages customer delivery expectationsStrategic PlanningBuilds and maintains multi-year account plans with revenue forecasts, risk assessments, and opportunity mappingCollaborates with marketing and product teams to align solutions with customer needs and market trendsCross-Functional CoordinationServes as the primary internal advocate for national account needsLeads or participates in cross-functional teams to deliver on major contract obligations, pilot programs, and product customization effortsReporting & CRMMaintains account records, sales pipeline, and forecasting in SalesforceProvides monthly updates on account status, wins/losses, and revenue pacing against goalsOther job duties as assigned.YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)Education: High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.Experience: 5+ years of experience in national or strategic account salesDemonstrated success managing complex customer relationships and high-value accounts.Skills:Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.Proven ability to drive growth while maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty.Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.Travel: As needed.Performance Expectations:Meet or exceed annual sales target for assigned national accountsMaintain 90%+ accuracy in forecasting within CRMDevelop and maintain annual account plans for top 10 customersAchieve high customer satisfaction scores on assigned accountsIdentify and pursue at least 3 new growth opportunities per year within account basePHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Office and plant environment.Keyboarding, lifting, standing, bending, walking.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ABOUT GREAT DANEWith a history dating back to 1900, Great Dane has established itself as a transportation solutions leader of today - delivering innovative products and exceptional services that help our customers and employees succeed.
