As an active exploration and production company in the northeastern U.S. for more than 100 years, Seneca Resources Company, LLC is committed to safety, environmental stewardship, increased productivity and maximizing shareholder value.The Meter Measurement Technician will serve as an integral member of the IT team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:Perform scheduled regulator and relief valve testingCalibrating Electronic Flow computersOperate natural gas chromatograph moisture analyzerPerform basic plumbing and tubing bendingInstall, operate, and maintain gas measurement equipment including flow meters, gas chromatographs, EFM (Electronic Flow Measurement) devices, transmitters, and associated instrumentationPerform routine calibration and verification of measurement devices to ensure accuracyCollect and analyze gas volume and quality data from various field locationsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to gas flow discrepancies, communication failures, and instrumentation errorsMaintain accurate logs and records of maintenance, calibrations, and system modifications and document those records in Seneca’s asset management softwareWork closely with Measurement Foreman, operations, engineering, and SCADA teams to ensure reliable data collection and integrationEnsure all work complies with company safety procedures, DOT regulations, API standards, and other applicable regulationsAssist in the testing and validation of new measurement technologies and proceduresProvide support during audits and inspections from regulatory agencies or internal departmentsComply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in oil and gas industry preferredExperience with operating, maintaining, and calibrating measurement or analytical equipment is highly desirableAbility to lift 50 lbs. and work around flowing wellsStrong understanding of measurement principles and analytical equipmentAbility to diagnose and resolve issues with measurement systemsTroubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain measurement systems and devicesPrepare clear and accurate reports and recordsProficient in using computers and learning new software programsWilling to work in all types of weatherAbility to work in the field independentlyExcellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsMultitask and prioritize workload effectivelyThe successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America with a valid driver’s license with no restrictions to operate a company vehicle.Seneca Resources offers a competitive salary, hybrid work scheduleand a comprehensive benefits package.
