As an Office Assistant, you will be the face or voice representing the Department of Health and Human Services as the first point of contact for community members, both in person and by phone. You will greet and assist customers in person and by phone, fielding inquiries, addressing complaints, and gathering information to direct customers to the appropriate staff for further assistance. You will perform structured and repetitive tasks such as filing, reviewing forms and electronic files, entering data, and performing other specialized work as assigned. Bilingual Office Assistants in the Department of Health and Human Services also provide translation assistance and general support to the agency.
