Installing hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentationImplementing and managing software and hardware solutionsPerforming software installations and upgradesMaintaining operating systems, hypervisors, virtual machines, physical servers, and storage solutions, including system monitoring, patch installations, and other duties necessary for ongoing system accountabilityProviding user support for target applications and user accounts in Active DirectoryOffering recommendations for additional equipment and services to ensure server and application data integrity and availabilityAssisting in evaluation of vendor products in hardware, software, and other equipment for IT modernization effortsProviding support during Pre-Installation Test and Checkout (PITCO) and System Operational and Verification Testing (SOVT) to include a complete end-to-end test of computer and radio systems in both a controlled lab environment and onboard naval shipsDuties in this job are performed while seated, standing, lifting, carrying, and pushing or pulling objects up to 50 poundsMay require special protective equipment, training and following safety rules to avoid injury#LI-SF13+ years of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web serversExperience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection servicesC4I system experience and/or GCCS-J experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems; and dependent on task, individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicableUnderstanding of how to configure, operate and maintain UHF and HF military radiosAntenna design and analysisProficient at utilizing various test equipment (i.e. digital multimeter, oscilloscope, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer)Understanding of RF design, development, systems integration and testingSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVELTravel for this position will be OCONUS up to 50%Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
