The Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to ensure that the machinery used in daily operations runs at maximum efficiency and output. This includes overseeing preventive maintenance, managing mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment, as well as supervising employees, budgets, and cost reporting. This hands-on role requires a commitment to working extended hours during busy periods and being a team player who is willing to perform various related tasks throughout the day.Abide by all facility safety rules, regulations, and corporate policiesSupport and implement best practices in maintenance vision, strategy, policies, and procedures to enhance operational performanceIdentify risks and implement measures to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents involving contractors and maintenance personnelDevelop and manage weekly maintenance schedules while ensuring compliance and prioritization of tasksRespond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtimePerform maintenance tasks efficiently and to the highest quality standardsMonitor and control repair costs and job execution for optimal efficiencyMaintain accurate records of completed work, including tools, materials, and equipment usedReview equipment history and ensure proper documentation in work order completionsReport maintenance performance during major overhauls and suggest improvementsPrioritize work orders based on emergencies and facility needsMaintain high standards of housekeeping, productivity, and workmanship, particularly within the mechanical maintenance departmentStrive to achieve 98% job reliability across all maintenance tasksInvestigate safety incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actionsAddress facility concerns with manager in a timely mannerPerform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician (Required)Must have experience with Electrical and HydraulicsKnowledge/Skills/Competencies:Strong communication, organizational, and time management skillsProven problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and meet priorities and deadlinesGood attendance and a positive attitudeAbility to optimize work processesExperience negotiating with vendorsUnderstanding of maintenance tracking softwareExperience with overhead cranes, burning tables, or similar machinery (preferred)Other:Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
