What Will You Be Doing?The Manager/Sr. Manager, Pricing & Revenue Management Development and Decision Science supports the strategy, configuration, alignment, and continuous improvement of the systems and optimization models driving Frontiers revenue production across ticket and ancillary sources, and reports to the Director, Pricing & Revenue Management Development and Decision Science (For Manager Level)/Sr. Director, Ancillary Revenue and Revenue Analytics (For Sr. Manager Level). The Manager/Sr. The manager is responsible for enabling the front-line pricing and revenue management teams success by ensuring robust automation support in setting effective pricing and inventory strategies, by identifying opportunities to strengthen Frontiers total revenue optimization across ticket and ancillary streams, and by maintaining a competitive advantage in the revenue management systems and decision support tools employed by Frontier. Essential FunctionsDevelop and deploy a strategy for pricing and revenue management systems, including strengthened integration across ticket and ancillary revenue streams and effective alignment with key distribution channelsLead continuous improvement processes for revenue management systems, including ongoing model training/re-training and validation, A/B testing of potential system enhancements, and overall configuration and optimizationServe as subject matter expert for revenue management algorithms; enhance the broader teams understanding of core revenue management principles and mathematical modelsDrive optimal revenue performance by employing data science to strengthen pricing and inventory strategies; evolve systems strategy and configuration as necessary in response to changes in the competitive and demand environmentCollaborate with frontline pricing & revenue management leadership to prioritize and deliver against system-driven revenue improvement initiativesCollaborate with technology leadership to craft the development roadmap as related to pricing & revenue management tools, systems and automationLead and develop a nimble, competitive, high-performing, and innovative team Sr. Manager (addl):Communicate to departmental and senior leadership key actionable insights on performance trends, roadmap developments, business process, and modeling enhancement opportunities in line with organizational goalsManage evaluation of team members, including skill sets, skill development, and regular reviewsSupervise the teaching and training of analysts and data scientistsMaintain good communication within the department as well as other departmentsLeadership and team buildingManage and develop direct reports and provide leadership to individuals outside of direct org structure as neededArchitect the roadmap for and lead PRM decision science modeling strategyPrioritize incoming feature enhancement requests based on combination of expected incremental revenue contribution and person-hours level of effort to implementLeverage and implement automation technologies for improved revenue capture, integrity, and generation through applied analyticsQualificationsBachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Aviation Management or related field; advanced quantitative degree preferredManager:Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, operations research, and/or data analytics, with airline or similar industry experience in revenue management optimization systems preferred but not requiredPrior experience leading teams preferredSr. Manager:6+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, operations research, and/or data analytics, with airline or similar industry experience in revenue management optimization systems preferred but not required3+ years of management of one or more employees2+ years of vendor/external partner management preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated understanding of economics, airline commercial metrics, pricing & revenue management principles, and distribution platformsAdvanced understanding of current and emerging revenue management systems including forecasting algorithms, optimization models, and machine learning/artificial intelligence integration and evolutionAdvanced analytical and quantitative skills; experience with machine learning models, SQL, Python, JSON and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferredAbility to build alignment and deliver results across various high-performing revenue generation teams, technology, and third-party business partnersAbility to structure data-driven analytical approaches across a range of quantitative techniques to solve business problems in an efficient, timely mannerAbility to independently prioritize analyses for self and teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
