Education Requirements:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.Clearance Requirements: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The opportunity we can offer is one-of-a-kind.As an I&T Engineer, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for building software and platforms that support our customer’s most important missions in the Space and Intelligence domains.The ideal candidate is an I&T engineer with a strong software background and has experience on large solution programs. We highly recommend you apply if you have any of the following job experience: Have worked as an I&T Engineer on a complex software system. Or is someone who understands DOD domain/programs well, has a demonstrated capability to think at a Systems Level, and has a growth mindset. Space domain, especially OPIR, experience preferred.As a Senior I&T Engineer, you will:Design, build, integrate, test, deploy, and improve software services and platforms within a cross-functional agile teamWork closely with the engineering leadership to ensure quality is built in early and is testableDevelop and participate inthe QA/test approach, methodology, and process for a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environmentTest applications through automated and manual back-endfunctions as well as through UIQualify all new features by testing on supported platforms and configurationsImplement, execute and troubleshoot automated tests during the sprint cyclesVerify installations with acceptance tests, track bugs, and participate in development meetingsApply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical engineering productsSupport and develop our technical culture by being engaged, intellectually curious, friendly, motivated to solve complex problems, and inspired to deliver superior user-centered software solutionsParticipate in internal reviews of software components and systemsCandidates should have demonstrated strengths and experience in some of the following areas:Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing I&T plans, creating test cases and debuggingWorking knowledge of application deployment tools such as AnsibleExperience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab RunnerExperience with Junit-Mockito, Apache HTTPD Server, and Spring BootExtensive knowledge of Unix/Linux EnvironmentsExpertise in Test Automation using Selenium, Test Complete, Cucumber, Apache JMeter or similar toolsFamiliarity with Cloud Computing and IaaS environments such as the Red Hat Open Stack Platform (RHOSP), Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web ServicesFamiliarity with Container technologies such as Docker and/or Orchestration technologies such as Rancher/KubernetesFull use and understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theoriesEffective communication and attention to detailOther Beneficial experience:Familiarity with multiple DevSecOps tool chainsExperience using Agile methodologiesDetailed and fully proficient knowledge of technology trends and champions new ideas and product and process improvementsMemory and CPU profilingExperience building large-scale mission-critical applicationsExperience with distributed systemsInformation visualizationWhat sets you apart:Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycleCollaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for successExceptional communication, presentation, and influence management skills, with notable record of securing buy-in on concepts and ideasExperienced in the art of negotiation with ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutionsCommitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and othersOur Commitment to You:An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.Research oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s securityFlexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and moreSee more atgdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefitsWorkplace Options:This position is flex but requires at least 2-3 days per week of onsite support at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, CO#CJ3This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
