All operational decisions within the yard consistent with the yard's annual and monthly performance goals.Coordinate with and supervise all department activities (ie operations, maintenance, personnel, and transportation)Ensure operating expenses are consistent with the facility budgetary and fiscal performance goalsManage perpetual yard inventory on a daily basisManage and retain yard personnelManage and maintain positive relations with the public (i.e. resolution of problems)Maintain a clean work area during and at the end of the shiftEnsure all equipment, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is in safe working conditionOther duties as required to ensure yard runs efficientlyReport any Fraudulent ActivityReport all accidents and injuries immediatelyAbide by employee handbookCommitment to safety through actions and behaviors is expectedRegular and timely attendance is essentialEffective communication skills/customer service skillsWorking understanding of scrap, operations, transportation, and pricingBasic knowledge of cost accounting and income statementsSolid supervisory skills, strong interpersonal skills, and basic math skillsHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to operate forklift, skid steer, and/or other heavy machineryPrevious supervisory/management experienceWork safely in a manufacturing environment that utilizes audible alarms and signalsEffectively communicate using radios and telephones in manufacturing environmentDemonstrate visual recognition of workplace hazardsRead and comprehend labels and MSDSWork in high elevations and in enclosed spaces with proper permitting and PPEWork in seasonal conditions (rain/snow, hot/cold weather)Omni offers competitive compensation and a full benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Bonus, Vacation and 401K.
