Onsite AV Support Engineer (DSP Experience Required)

We believe that success starts with a sound team and that an inclusive and diverse workplace moves us all forward.WHAT YOU’LL DOThe Onsite Maintenance Engineer will work in partnership with the customer, management team, global helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.Day-To-Day Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces including, but not limited to: testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing various hardware componentsRespond to A/V maintenance incidents based on SLA requirementsPerform maintenance support tasks in a timely and quality conscious mannerProvide field service support of networked devicesCollaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPLUnderstand and adhere to local safety standards for all site dutiesProvide job site documentation and end user training and as neededTroubleshoot various audio/video/presentation systemsMay be asked to travel to following sites - Purchase, NY and New York City, NYMust be flexible to work after hours and weekends when requiredWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORMust-Haves:Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleaguesHands-on experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), including configuring and optimizing audio systems, programming DSP platforms (e.g., Biamp, QSC, or Crestron), and troubleshooting complex AV setups to ensure high-quality sound and video performanceDante Expert Level 2 or 3 preferredStrong broadcast engineering skills.Experience with various switching systems such as Evertz, Crestron, and Panasonic Kairos.Experience in troubleshooting Video Walls such as NEC and Silicon CoreAbility to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner and to solder & crimp connectorsAbility to manage small to medium projectsFamiliarity with minor programming (Crestron) - changes and troubleshootingAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesIntermediate computer knowledgeKnowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and controlValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standardMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools and materials.Nice-To-Haves:Minimum of 5 years of audiovisual integration and/or service experienceFormal education in Electronics or related fieldThe following training certifications:Evertz MagnumPanasonic KairosSilicon Core and NEC Video WallsFiber cleaning/terminationCrestron Professional InstallationShure Level 1 and 2Essentials of Crestron Programming CertificationExton AV Associate CertificationInfoComm Quick Start to the Audio-Visual IndustryInfoComm CTS General CertificationWHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HEREMedical benefits, including vision and dentalPaid holidays, sick days, and personal daysEnjoyable and dynamic company cultureTraining and professional development opportunitiesMORE ABOUT USAVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
