The Event Concierge will focus on the group guest experience toward excellence.Reporting to the Director of Banquet, this role will be responsible for leading the operation with passion and creativity, ensuring exceptional five-star service. This role will require to be the on-site meeting contact. This position is highly visible and the central point for handling and addressing special needs or requests for in house groups.Assist Convention Services and Catering Managers as the onsite liaison between Meeting Planner and operational departmentsCommunication with other Event Concierge team and Managers to ensure seamless experienceBasic knowledge of hotel departments and purpose in fulfilling guests needsManage and assist all aspects of hotel events to include day to day coordinationDuring meetings and conferences, will ensure arrangements are to specifications and ensuring satisfaction by creating memorable experiencesBeing proactive in problem resolution, keeping clients advised on status of events and functions, including items pending that need follow upMulti-task and prioritize multiple requests and information; time management skills are necessaryUtilize software for generation of necessary documents and changes as neededDetailed knowledge of the hotel meeting space, group dynamics and event detailsSpecial projects as assigned by Department ManagerAttends daily Banquet Event Order meetings and weekly resume meetings as neededRecommends special outside services when requiredCoordinates and attends pre-convention meetings prior to conference when scheduledOverseeing the setup, replenishment, and presentation of buffet stations, ensuring food quality, variety, and visual appeal.Monitoring food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and resort standards.Collecting and analyzing guest feedback to continuously improve the experience and address any issues promptly.Supporting the planning and execution of special events or group bookings, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.Our ideal, Event Concierge candidate will have:Excellent communication skills and a strong, innovative mindset.Applicants are required to have at least 2 to 3 years' experience. Must possess valid Food Handler’s card.Knowledge of Forbes service standardsAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.Wine and spirit knowledge and service training knowledge.Previous catering, convention services, meeting planning experience preferred. Prefer operations/administrative experience in hotels, with banquet operation knowledge.
