LSAC’s mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairnessin law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice.The Director of Reports and Analytics is an IT leader that has the primary enterprise accountability of the organization’s data and analytics (D&A) assets to drive value for business stakeholders. This includes creation and management of data and analytics strategy, and execution of related programs and practices that drive measurable business outcomes. This role involves establishing, leading and operating the D&A function; developing talent and mature D&A culture; building trust and managing data; and evolving technology capabilities.Salary range: $140,000 - $148,000, depending on experienceEssential Job FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The individual employed in this position will be required to:Maintain authority and accountability for leveraging the value of enterprise information assets, and of the analytics used to render insights for decision making, automated decisions and augmentation of human performance. Be the corporate leader of data-driven insights anduse casesthat help support strategic and tactical business opportunities.Build partnershipswith executive leadership to establish the vision for managing data as a business asset — to use data and analytics capabilitiesto maximize thevalue derived fromdata assets.Define data and analytics vision, strategy and associated practices. Support the organization’s data and analytics strategy in collaboration with the CIO and business stakeholders.Institute an enterprise operating model for data and analytics that is consistent with the capabilities and competencies required to execute the strategy.Foster the creation of a data-driven culture, related competencies and data literacy across the enterprise. Lead these transformation efforts by developing D&A talent and maturing the capability of the organization.Overseedelivery models,methods and practices for creation ofdataproductsand to ensure consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions.Establish and maintain trust indata assets by institutinggovernance mechanisms fordata and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making.Lead data-driven innovation for the enterprise, including investigation, adoption and exploitation of artificial intelligence.Lead research, strategy creation and development of new data products or services to expand markets, monetize data (directly and indirectly) and impact enterprise profitability.Expand the organization’s research and analytics offerings, especially in emerging analytical approaches, skills and technologies, focusing on accelerating digital business innovation and transformation.Identify new kinds, types and sources of trusted data to enable business value innovation throughout the organization.Create and oversee a centralized datamanagementservice for sourcing external data to ensure quality, traceability, timeliness, usability and cost-effectiveness.Define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new data.CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills.Holds a strong sense of accountability for both individual and team objectives.Embraces a forward-thinking mindset, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and creativity.Excellent time management, prioritization, attention to detail and organization skillsIn-depth understanding of data analysis and report development, as well as reporting rationalization, consolidation and automation.Extensive background in understanding the data requirements of law school admissions personnel.Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, project management and development.Education and ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in technology and business/industry.Minimum 5 years leading a reports and analytics teamAdditional InformationSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role does have people management responsibilities.Position TypeThe LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Travel RequirementsThere is no travel expected for this position.
