Manufacturing Engineer - Janus

The Manufacturing Engineer will plan and design manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency.Focus on being a key contributor to one or more facets of varied projects with the skills and abilities reflective of professional training.Develop complete intermediate level work plans for small projects/sub projects/assignments, including expense/capital estimates and cost/benefit analysis.Manage capital equipment projects, Input on Machine design, vendor selection, Equipment design reviews.Communicate with vendors to coordinate quotes, prototypes, and production plans.Support a production line to achieve business metrics and work with supervisors and production staff to determine improvementsWork in a team environment to perform problem solving and root cause analysis.Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles.Able to solve complex problems with practical solutions.Work with other functional areas on projects/assignments.Demonstrated ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities to a variety of assignments within a moderate range of technical difficulty.BS Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.Minimum of 3 years of experience.Proven understanding of engineering and scientific methodologies and their successful application at an intermediate level of technical application.Understands and applies methodologies associated with project planning.Equipment Procurement Experience (including automation).Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
