NaphCarehas an excellent opportunity for a Director of Clinical Operations - State Governmentto join ourState Prison’s team at ourCorporate Headquarters office locatedinBirmingham, AL. The Director of Clinical Operations will lead and support clinical programs across our state-level correctional healthcare systems. The ideal candidate is a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) orPhysician Assistant (PA)with strong leadership/management experience inUtilization Management (UM)andcorrectional healthcare delivery. ARegistered Nurse (RN)with correctional experience and additional advanced education/training in health care administration or similar may be considered. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing outcomes through effective resource management and collaboration with on-site and corporate clinical teams.*This is an on-site position.NaphCareisone of the largest providersof healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the United States. NaphCare is a family owned, healthcare technology company that has been delivering high quality healthcare to correctional facilities across the nation forover36 years.NaphCare partners with correctional facilities to provide proactive, patient-focused healthcare.Come join our growing team of7,000 +employees!Lead and oversee clinical operations across multiple correctional sites to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care.Develop and monitor clinical protocols, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.Provide clinical oversight and support for Utilization Management processes, including reviewing requests, identifying trends, and guiding appropriate levels of care.Serve as a liaison between corporate leadership and site medical teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration.Support hiring, training, and ongoing development of site-based clinical leadership.Participate in audits, performance reviews, and corrective action planning.Monitor key performance indicators and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, NCCHC/ACA standards, and applicable regulations.Licensed Nurse Practitioner(NP) orPhysician Assistant(PA) with active and unrestricted licensureORRegistered Nurse (RN)with correctional experience and additional advanced education/training in health care administration or similar education.Extensive experiencein correctional healthcare in a leadership or administrative capacity.Strong background inUtilization Managementand care coordination.Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites.Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.Knowledge of correctional health regulations, NCCHC and ACA standards preferred.Willingness to travel as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.Experience with electronic health records and UM platforms.Background in quality improvement, risk management, or compliance.NaphCare Benefits Package:NaphCare offers competitive benefits including health, prescription, dental, vision, Employment Assistance Program (EAP) services, and 401(k).
