And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience.Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.Directly observes identified patient(s) at all times during assigned shiftRemoves items from patient room/surroundings that are potentially dangerousEnsures implementation of patient safety protocols (elopement precautions, suicide precautions, aggressive behaviors)Assists in meal tray set-up if no restrictionsAnswers patient phoneNotifies nursing staff to assist patient with activities outside of Sitter’s scope of practiceConsults with Lead RN or assigned RN, Security, other staff as neededReports oral intake to assigned RNEnsures safety protocols are utilized according to policyDocuments implementation of appropriate protocolsDocuments proof of observation on suicide precautions and other protocols on flow sheetEducation: High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Communication Skills.Ability to respond appropriately to customer/co-worker.Interaction with a wide variety of people.Maintain confidential information.Ability to communicate only the facts to recipients or to decline to reveal information.Ability to project a professional, friendly, helpful demeanor.Apply Today!!
