Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner, escorts patients to patient dressing rooms, instructs the patient how to dress out for their procedure, and explains exam procedures to patients as needed.Starts IV access on patients as needed using universal protection equipment and aseptic techniques.Reviews patient history to determine any previous reactions to contrast.Works with technologists to ensure proper documentation of contrast usage is in place, responds to contrast reactions as necessary.Properly disposes contaminated medical supplies in the biohazard waste containers.Restocks, scans, and unloads supply boxes when they arrive. Reports any shortages of supplies to technologists and makes sure saline flushes are ready for the next day.Assists technologists with patient requests as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.
