include:Providing university employees, students and faculty with technical assistance support, and guidance.Serving as WCP Student Activity Center contact for assistance with policy, procedure, and orientation on media capabilities and operations.Managing the operation, maintenance and safeguarding of technical assets/equipment of the WCP Student Activity Center.Participating in repair and replacement, preventative maintenance, and inventory control of equipment.Managing, trains and schedules full time staff and student employees who will be employed as part time sound and lighting technicians.Providing expertise and advice to users of the facility on safety, technical characteristics, and other aspects of facility operationsProviding first level support to end users of the AV systems in a timely, student-focused, and friendly manner.Determining necessary technical supports, such as lighting, sound, staging and special needs necessary for events and performances in advance of production dates.Working closely with clients and crew to help plan and execute performances and events with regard to technical needs. This includes attending production meetings and assisting in the supervision of load-ins and set up.Providing production assistance to clients on an as needed basis, including assistance in planning, managing and executing the backstage support of performances.Performing job responsibilities in a safe and secure manner, ensuring the safety of students, staff and patrons, while maintaining the security of the Student Activity Center and its equipment, inventory and occupants; and support safety and health programs to ensure a safe workplace, and to be in compliance with university policy and government regulations.Using a personal computer for accessing University systems, emails, inventory controls, printers, etc., to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring an efficient and steady flow of information.Driving a university or personal vehicle for errands or transport between the Student Activity Center and the Texas Union.Performing other related functions as assigned.
