Financial Reports Manager

Manages a team of financial professionals in the Office of Accounting involved in the financial reporting activities of the University. Hires, trains, develops, and manages performance of assigned staff.Assist with designing, documenting, maintaining, and implementing accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.Coordinates reporting with oversight entities, including UT System.Implements general accounting and reporting standards established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Assist with the management of monthly and fiscal year end accounting reporting processes, and other reporting required by UT System, Office of the Comptroller, federal, state, or other oversight entities.Assists in the preparation of the Universitys annual financial report (AFR) and audited financial statements. May serve as a liaison with internal or external auditors. Ensures accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements at all times.Additional related duties as assigned.
