Assist in providing primary medical coverage for athletic teams (i.e., Mens/Womens Basketball) as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Trainer to include all practices, home competitions, and host events. Assist in designing, initiating and progressing rehabilitation programs as needed according to the changing health status of injured/ill athletes.Assist in the design and implementation of exercise and rehabilitation programs for student-athletes with medical conditions and test results that warrant such programs.Assist in maintaining electronic medical records. Assist in evaluating readiness to compete.Assist in facilitating cross-disciplinary collaboration by working with relevant allied health disciplines (i.e., chiropractic, nutrition, massage therapy, etc.) in the pursuit of health care solutions. Adhere to institutional policies and NCAA rules with regards to medical care. Assist with drug testing of student-athletes in accordance with institutional and NCAA regulations.Assist with oversight of Sports Medicine Aides and MSAT Immersion Students. Work cooperatively with other staff, coaches and department personnel.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Athletics Director, Sports Medicine and Senior Associate Athletic Trainer.Other related functions as assigned. Drive a UT and/or personal rental vehicle on and off campus.Consistently exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Always act ethically. Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you or your department/sport program. Actively participate in assigned education and training programs. Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws. Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.
