UT Elementary Special Education Teacher

Comply with UTES, UT, and campus-specific curriculum standards, policies, and procedures.Write, manage, and maintain all required special education paperwork, including IEPs, evaluation reports, progress monitoring, and eligibility documents, in compliance with district and legal timelines.Serve as the case manager for assigned students by coordinating services, facilitating ARD meetings, communicating with families, and collaborating with general education teachers and related service providers.Implement each students Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and 504 accommodations with fidelity.Understand the learning styles and needs of assigned students and plan appropriate, differentiated instruction using evidence-based strategies, materials, and tools to meet the needs of diverse learners (including ESL, GT, and at-risk students).Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.Create and maintain a classroom environment that supports academic, physical, social, and emotional development.Effectively manage student behavior in alignment with campus expectations, treatment plans if applicable, and the Student Code of municate regularly with campus administrators, instructional staff, families, and service providers to ensure alignment and support for each students success.Participate in faculty meetings, committees, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning as required.Exercise sound judgment in instructional and behavioral decisions with minimal supervision.Perform other duties as assigned by campus leadership.
