School Custodian

To provide skills for cleaning and housekeeping duties in school buildings and food service units. Responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and housekeeping tasks in accordance with established work routines. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors. Vacuums and cleans rugs. Scrubs, cleans and polishes lavatories, fixtures and mirrors. Replenishes lavatory supplies. Carries out and disposes of garbage and trash. Washes and dries dishes and cooking utensils. Cleans tables of soiled dishes. Performs related duties as required. May move and rearrange furniture. May carry baggage and other heavy objects. Assist in setting up cafeteria table service areas and clean-up and removal of set-ups.
