Patient Preparation and Positioning Explain imaging procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.Position imaging equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of the patients body.Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.Imaging Procedures Operate mammography and X-ray equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.Follow physicians orders precisely and conform to regulations concerning the use of radiation.Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice.Image Evaluation and Quality Control Review and evaluate developed images to determine if they are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure it is safe and in working order.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Patient Care and SupportMonitor patients conditions and reactions during and after imaging procedures.Address any patient concerns or adverse reactions promptly.Provide post-procedure instructions and support to patients.Administrative Duties Maintain imaging supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs, and placing orders.Ensure a clean and organized working environment in the imaging suite.Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
