Develops and produces science-related educational programs for K-12 groups centered around ecosystems and organisms at the Hill Country Field Station and other field stations in the TFSN and trains relevant personnel (e.g. graduate students) in implementing these programs.Works with UT researchers and TFSN personnel to develop K-12 lesson plans centered around UT research projects that target state TEKS and AP/IB curriculum and organize these plans on the website for accessibility of K-12 teachers.Work with TFSN staff and others (e.g. UTeach personnel) to develop professional development opportunities for Texas K-12 teachers.Work with Biodiversity Center Communications Director to assist Hill Country Field Station manager and others in the TFSN to develop educational brochures, pamphlets, posters, etc.Assist Hill Country Field Station manager and others in the TFSN to coordinate public outreach events (e.g. BioBlitzes, workshops, seminars, symposia).Serve as lead coordinator and facilitator for K-12 educational partnerships and public outreach for the TFSN.Establishes SMART goals and monitors performance of TFSN educational and outreach objectives in coordination with the Managing Director of the TFSN.Coordinate with the College of Natural Sciences Director of Communications and University Communications colleagues to promote the Hill Country Field Station and the broader TFSN in print, video, and online media.Other tasks as assigned by the Managing Director of the TFSN.
