Emergency Preparedness Program Management Develop and maintain Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs), Business Continuity Plans, and Hazard Vulnerability Analyses (HVAs).Build systems, structures, and workflows that enable effective emergency response across departments.Ensure program alignment with regulatory standards and organizational corporate Technology and Data:Leverage emergency management software and data analytics to monitor risks, track compliance, and enhance response capabilities.Facility Safety Audits and Risk Mitigation Conduct safety rounds, inspections, and risk assessments.Identify hazards and lead the implementation of mitigation strategies.Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal policies.Emergency Exercises and Response Coordination Design and lead drills, tabletop exercises, and full-scale simulations.Conduct after-action reviews and develop improvement plans.Activate and support response coordination during incidents and disasters.Plan, coordinate and lead periodic drills and/or simulations or varying sizes and scopes, ensuring optimal training, readiness and emergency response preparedness across the entire organization.Regulatory Compliance and Survey Readiness Maintain documentation for continuous readiness with Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, OSHA, and NFPA standards.Prepare the organization for regulatory audits through assessments and education.Ensure emergency management components meet accreditation cident Leadership and Public Agency Coordination Serve in a command role under the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) or ICS during real events. Incumbent will serve as the primary representative for the UT Austin EOC when it is activated.Liaise with local, regional, and federal agencies, healthcare coalitions, and emergency operations centers working in alignment with UT Austin Emergency Management.Coordinate resource requests and information sharing during responses.Training and Staff Education Coordinate staff training on emergency procedures, infection control, and decontamination protocols.Develop educational content for onboarding and ongoing training.Promote a culture of preparedness and safety across the organization.Support for Departmental Improvement Plans Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on emergency preparedness best practices.Assist departments with the development of corrective action plans and safety improvements.Analyze data and trends to inform systemwide readiness initiatives.
