Provide outpatient care to patients seeking diagnosis and treatment for rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and other autoimmune diseases. Work closely with rheumatologists and other specialists to ensure accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and continuity of care.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary teamincluding physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and care coordinatorsto develop and implement comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans. Educate patients on disease processes, medication management (including biologics and immunosuppressants), and lifestyle modifications.Monitor disease activity and treatment response using clinical assessments, laboratory data, and patient-reported outcomes. Adjust treatment plans as needed in consultation with supervising physicians.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and patient education materials specific to rheumatologic care. Track patient progress and coordinate care across the continuum, including referrals to physical therapy, infusion services, or specialty care as needed.Support the education of medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical teaching, case discussions, and participation in academic activities. Stay current with advances in rheumatology through continuing education and professional development.Perform administrative tasks such as documentation in the electronic medical record (Athena preferred), coordination of prior authorizations, and participation in clinic operations meetings.Other related duties as assigned.
