Responsible for all Workday business processes including but not limited to recruitment, hiring and onboarding, human capital management, compensation, payroll adjustments, and separation payments. Coordinates the annual performance evaluation communication and tracking. Produces reports and analyzes data on a periodic or ad hoc basis. Ensures timely execution, compliance, and confidentiality standards for all processes.Oversees all non-student, non-benefitted appointments and hires, employment, and separations, including but not limited to hourly positions, contingent workers, and affiliates.Ensures compliance and consistency with best practices, all university HR policies, and federal and state regulations relating to human capital. Attends and participates in meetings and workshops offered by Workday, the UT Compliance office, and UT Human Resources to stay up to date on policies and procedures. Communicates with employees as necessary regarding required compliance and any changes to the compliance policies. Oversees and manages records retention of departmental HR records in accordance with the UT Records Retention Schedule.Serves as timekeeper. Enters and submits timesheets for certain non-benefits-eligible populations. Reviews time reports to ensure adherence with all university policies as well as departmental practices. Runs Workday reports to ensure completion of time reports within the appropriate periods.Develops, organizes and establishes HR processes to automate and/or streamline all documentation. Provides information and guidance on internal sites and resource pages for easy access and to expedite HR processes. Develops and provides training regarding general and specific human resources functions, policies and procedures.Establishes and maintains positive and productive relationships with external and internal stakeholders by providing outstanding customer service, technical support, and problem-solving with professionalism, positivity, tact and decorum. Serves as a resource for staff to answer HR generalist questions as needed. Be knowledgeable about broad topics, policies, and processes around employment, both at the university and organization level. Liaise with central Human Resources, Payroll Services, Workday Operational Support, Academic Personnel Services and other university offices as needed. Escalates complex human resource matters to Assistant Director of Business Operations.
