Acuren is currently recruting for Level II Rope Access Technician to support our opration in Colorado. This position is an intermediate level position that is responsible for carrying out Rope Access Level II duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner as assigned by the Rope Access Level III Technician.Perform advanced rope access work at heights using established rope access techniques and systems while ensuring compliance in accordance with IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standardsPlan and implement rope access systems for various work scenariosMaintain rope access equipment and report any safety concernsDemonstrate skills and knowledge of a Rope Access Technician Level 2Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and company safety procedures. Conduct specialized inspections and complete detailed work reports on resultsAssist in rigging and rescue plans under the supervision of the Rope Access Level 3 TechnicianCollaborate effectively with multi-disciplined and cross-functional trade specialistsAssist in identifying area and task-related hazards and communicating them to the Rope Access Level III TechnicianOther work duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and proceduresPhysical capability to perform strenuous work at heightsAdaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last minute and overnight travel Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow directions and proceduresAbility to show comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques. Proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/haulingAbility to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structuresDemonstrates a strong willingness to learn and grow, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindsetPhysically and mentally fit with a strong mechanical aptitudeExceptional safety and quality awarenessStrong work ethic and dependableExcellent communication and teamwork skillsMust have valid driver’s license Ability to regularly work overtimeEDUCATION: Current SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certification or ability to obtainMinimum 1000 documented hours in a 12-month period for IRATA certification or 500 documented hours in a 12-month period for SPRAT certificationHigh school diploma or equivalent education requiredCompetitive SalaryMedical, dental, and supplemental insurance401K PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffPay Transparency: As per applicable state law the job posting pay range is $40.00an hour depending on experience and applicable certificationsExtreme cold and extreme heat environmental conditions, in and near hazards to include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places in excess of 100 feet, exposure to high heat, extreme cold, or exposure to chemicals, in conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly, 60+ pounds on occasion Frequent mobility is required in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, small, enclosed rooms, line pipes, and other areas that could cause claustrophobiaWithstand loud noise and able to work long workdays of up to 16 consecutive hours in one day.
