Are you ready to make an impact on national security by solving complex systems engineering challenges?We’re seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. In this role, you’ll contribute to the full systems engineering lifecycle to help deliver timely, accurate, and mission-critical GEOINT capabilities.What You’ll DoAs a key member of the engineering team, you will:Lead and support all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, including:Requirements analysis and traceabilitySolution architecture and systems integrationScheduling and service developmentReliability and resiliency engineeringTesting, evaluation, and maintainabilityAnalyze user needs, workflows, and system architectures to enhance system performance, automation, and cloud service capabilitiesDevelop and design technical solutions based on evolving requirements and emerging technologiesMentor junior engineers in technical processes and best practicesSupport the Government in translating mission needs into system and capability requirementsAssist in allocating requirements across system architecture components and programsContribute to systems integration and interoperability effortsSupport trade studies and decision-making activities, including:Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)Courses of Action (CoAs)Engineering AssessmentsAssist in strategic planning and project execution, including:Technical planningPerformance engineeringRisk managementInterface designWhy This Role MattersYour work will ensure that GEOINT capabilities remain:Reliable in dynamic mission environmentsResilient to disruptionResponsive to evolving national security needsYou won’t just support the mission—you’ll help shape its future.Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Required QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or higher in:Systems EngineeringOR related technical/scientific fields such as:Engineering, Physics, MathematicsOperations ResearchEngineering ManagementComputer ScienceInformation TechnologyManagement Information SystemsOther STEM-related disciplinesOR 9 years of Systems Engineering experience in lieu of a degreeMinimum six (6) years of relevant experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition ProcessesRequirements development processesPPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System)Systems engineering for large, complex System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud environmentsSecurity ClearanceActive TS/SCI clearanceOR ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraphDesired QualificationsTechnical SkillsWorking knowledge of:Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languagesSoftware Development FrameworksFamiliarity with geospatial-related technical areas, including:PhotogrammetryRemote sensingImage scienceInformation sciencesGeographic Information Systems (GIS)GeomaticsRelated geospatial fieldsCertifications & Professional InvolvementINCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certificationDocumented work experience in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) fieldMembership or active participation in professional organizations such as:ACSM - American Congress on Surveying and MappingASCE - American Society of Civil EngineersASPRS - American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote SensingOGC - Open Geospatial ConsortiumSAREM - Society for American Remote Earth MonitoringUSGIF - United States Geospatial Intelligence FoundationMission KnowledgeDemonstrated understanding of the current:NSG - National System for Geospatial-IntelligenceASG - Allied System for Geospatial-IntelligenceNRO - National Reconnaissance Office enterprisePeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
