u003cdivu003eu003cstrongu003eTITLE: Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Techu0026 u003c/strongu003eu003cbru003eu003cstrongu003eLOCATION: Columbus, Ohiou003c/strongu003eu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003eu0026 u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003eWould you be interested in working in a small hospital where you could have a direct affect on patient care and be an important part of a team?u003cbru003eWould you like to live or work in a small town close to Columbus, Ohio so you can be offered all the amenities of a small town and big city at the same time?u003cbru003eThen this could be an opportunity for you.u003cbru003eu003cstrongu003eSUMMARY:u003c/strongu003eu003cbru003ePerforms and assists in the direct/indirect patient care and procedures under the general and direct supervision of the physician pre, intra, and post cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures.u0026 Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality care to adult and geriatric patients.u0026 Documents accurately and in a timely manner.u0026 Communicates and collaborates with other health care team members.u0026 Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory/accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards.u003cbru003eu003cstrongu003eSOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:u003c/strongu003eu003cbru003e-Assists physician in invasive procedures, including cardiac cath, vascular angiograms, stenting, permanent and temporary pacemaker implants and other procedures.u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Assesses/Reassess and documents patient history information to include but not limited to: indications/diagnosis, clinical presentation, height and weight, allergies, lab results, current medications, heart rate, blood pressure, rhythm, pain, respirations, pulse oxygenation, peripheral pulses, patient concerns, NPO status, patient consent verification, level of consciousness.u003cdivu003e-Starts and maintains IV access per ordersu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Starts and maintains oxygen administration per ordersu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Utilizes principles of sterile techniqueu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Provides appropriate post-procedure and discharge instructions to the patient, significant others or the caregiver.u0026 u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Develops revises and analyzesu0026 an action plan for completing the procedureu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Perform glucometer testing per policy and procedureu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-EKG monitoringu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003eu003cdivu003e-Performs radiographic procedures, operates radiographic equipment to produce angiographic, digital and other specialized images (ARRT only).u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Injects and administers prescribed medications under the direct presence and supervision of the physician performing the procedure. Medications to include moderate sedation u0026 medications and cardiac medications during procedures in the cath lab suite or patient room for transesophageal echos or other procedure(s) as deemed necessary.u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Delivers safe interventions in an organized, efficient and prioritized manner to address identified patient needs.u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members, physicians and other health care providers to coordinate the medical and nursing plans of care.u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Provides patients and family members with relevant health care education and instructions regarding treatments and procedures, including pre/post hospital care, as appropriate.u003c/divu003eu003c/divu003eu003cstrongu003eEDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:u003c/strongu003eu003cbru003eu003cdivu003e-Graduate of an accredited program for radiology technology with an emphasis on anatomy, physiology, radiation physics and interpersonal communication skills.u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Individual MUST possess and maintain a current radiographer license from the State of Ohio Department of Health and a current A.R.R.T. registry as an R.T.u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Advanced Registry From A.R.R.T. in Cardiovascular (CV), Cardiac Intervention (CI) or Vascular Intervention (VI) preferred.u003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) Requiredu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within one yearu003c/divu003eu003cdivu003e-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.u003c/divu003eu003cstrongu003eADDITIONAL INFO:u003c/strongu003eu003cbru003eThe department has a great team and the director is well respected.u003cbru003ePosition is full time hours are between 8am-5:30pm, on call rotation one day a week and every 4th weekend.u003cbru003eThe position will offer a range between $60k-$90K depending on experience and a full benefit package.u003c/divu003e ', 'location ': 'Centerburg, OH ', 'remote ':null, 'jobtype ': 'directhire ', 'remoteoption ': 'no ', 'featuredonjobboard ':false, 'ownedbyagency ':false, 'externalid ': 'OH159-2740689
