Planning Coordinator

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Planning Coordinator to join our team in McKinney, Texas. In this role, you will oversee production planning and scheduling activities to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in inventory control and production planning who thrives in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop and maintain production schedules, collaborating closely with the Production Manager and Sales team to align with business goals. u2022 Evaluate current and upcoming orders to prioritize tasks and optimize production workflows. u2022 Coordinate with the purchasing department to guarantee the availability of raw materials and maintain adequate inventory levels. u2022 Analyze closed shop orders and update routing times based on input from production and quality control teams. u2022 Prepare and distribute shop order documentation, ensuring all necessary drawings and components are available for production staff. u2022 Monitor production plan execution, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or challenges. u2022 Participate in regular production meetings to communicate updates and resolve scheduling conflicts. u2022 Provide general support across departments, including backup assistance for shipping and receiving operations. u2022 Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support organizational goals. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience. u2022 1 + years of experience in planning or inventory control roles. u2022 Proficiency in production planning and scheduling processes. u2022 Strong ability to manage purchase orders and ensure inventory sufficiency. u2022 Excellent analytical skills for evaluating production data and optimizing operations. u2022 Effective communication and coordination skills to work across departments. u2022 Familiarity with organizational systems and tools; experience with specific systems is a plus.
