Revenue Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Revenue Accountant to join our team just SW of College Station, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in managing revenue recognition processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Carry out detailed revenue recognition processes in alignment with ASC 606 standards. u2022 Analyze revenue streams and prepare accurate financial reports to support business decisions. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper accounting for oil and gas revenue transactions. u2022 Monitor and reconcile revenue accounts to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Provide insights and recommendations to improve revenue accounting practices. u2022 Assist with audits by preparing and presenting relevant documentation. u2022 Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies for revenue reporting. u2022 Investigate discrepancies in revenue data and resolve issues efficiently. u2022 Support the implementation of tools and processes to enhance revenue tracking and reporting. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in revenue accounting, particularly in the oil and gas sector. u2022 Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to revenue recognition. u2022 Proficiency in analyzing complex revenue transactions. u2022 Familiarity with financial reporting standards and practices. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. u2022 Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
