Description Our client, north of Houston, is looking for a Payroll Administrator. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage high-volume payroll operations for over 1,000 employees while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in handling garnishments, employment verifications, and unemployment claims, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities: u2022 Process payroll for a large workforce of 1,000+ employees with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Manage garnishments, ensuring proper deductions and compliance with applicable laws. u2022 Handle employment verifications and respond to unemployment claims promptly and efficiently. u2022 Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including data exporting, sorting, filtering, and formula creation, to streamline payroll processes. u2022 Conduct audits to verify payroll data accuracy and identify discrepancies. u2022 Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues. u2022 Support multi-state payroll processes, ensuring compliance with varying state regulations. u2022 Maintain detailed records and documentation for payroll activities. u2022 Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll concerns and inquiries. u2022 Assist in benefit-related functions as they pertain to payroll processing. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing for 500+ employees. u2022 Proficiency in handling payroll garnishments and related compliance. u2022 Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to work with formulas, filters, and large datasets. u2022 Experience with multi-state payroll operations and knowledge of state-specific regulations. u2022 Strong auditing skills to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. u2022 Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to meet strict deadlines. u2022 Effective communication skills for addressing employee concerns and collaborating with internal teams. u2022 A degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
