Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Argyle, Texas. The Staff Accountant will be central to our financial operations, including the processing of accounts payable, the preparation of monthly tenant invoices, the provision of detailed financial analysis, and the support of treasury, tax, and billing functions. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct in-depth financial analysis, comparing results to forecasts and previous month's results/trends. u2022 Oversee the preparation of monthly tenant invoices, responding to tenant queries as required. u2022 Manage the processing of accounts payable for multiple entities, working closely with operations and accounting teams to gain necessary approvals. u2022 Support the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries, account reconciliations, and close processes are completed in a timely manner. u2022 Assist in the preparation of work papers and supporting schedules for annual audits. u2022 Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes, as well as tax filings and other financial data requests. u2022 Uphold internal controls, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial operations. u2022 Support treasury, tax, AP, billing, and collections functions as required, undertaking additional duties as assigned. u2022 Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller on the documentation and improvement of accounting processes and policies. u2022 Undertake special projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or a similar role. u2022 Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). u2022 Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with General Ledger management. u2022 Proven ability to handle Journal Entries. u2022 Experience with Month End Close procedures. u2022 Knowledge of QuickBooks software for financial management.
