Develop and maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with public and private school personnel and educators, as well as university faculty and staff, in Uvalde and surrounding areas to promote museum educational tours, curriculum materials, and teacher training.Produce resource materials that support exhibitions and align with state curriculum standards for K-12 learners, performing research related to the sites collections, exhibits, and cultural/natural resources as needed.Develop and conduct outreach programs at area schools.Greet school groups, plan, and conduct school tours of museum.Create and manage a program evaluation process to evaluate the quality and impact of all school programs.Facilitate volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling for school programs.Prepare reports and maintain records regarding school programming.Coordinate school programs, tours, and training with museums calendar maintained by the site manager.Create social media posts and support media outreach to promote and interpret museum collections.Assist site manager with public event preparation, set-up, and breakdown as well as general site maintenance as needed.Occasionally travel to UT Austin campus to conduct research to further school programming initiatives and use the archival and staff resources of the Briscoe Center for American History.Assist site manager with planning, programming, and promotion for the museum as needed.Adhere to established work schedule with regular attendance.Other duties as assigned.
